Holiday Card collaboration with Holly Holmes sent out to celebrate the new year 2021!
Production notes:
This card was drawn on an Axi Draw plotter machine. We produced about 20 cards each one using different colored pens. The design begins with a square of parallel lines, repeated, rotated, overlaid and warped to produce what are known as interference patterns. This method was inspired by #genuary21 a generative art month on social media. Artists and designers respond to prompts for rule based art outcomes - interference patterns was one of the prompts. Other prompts include tree patterns, fractal systems, etc. Our card was produced using an open source program called Inkscape working from a tutorial by twitter user @wolfcatworkshop (Federico Tobon).
