Points in Space is a series of drawings begun in 2017 working from subjects observed during transit from one point to another.

To apprehend is to capture, it is also to understand. Apprehension is doubtful and uncertain. A drawing captures the presence of marks made on a surface. From the blank page an image is drawn forth. It's presence registered by a cloud of dots whose density and proximity suggest surface, form and depth.

These are drawings made in multiple sittings each point tapped out by hand.

Each point is a mark that at once delineates edges and knits together surfaces.

Each mark is a location in space and time.

Each mark is a unit of measurement.

Each mark is a location on the picture plane.

Each mark is a step closer to high fidelity.
