<p><a href="http://improbableobjects.com">Improbable Objects</a> was invited by <a href="http://badatsports.com">Bad at Sports</a> to exhibit at <a href="http://expochicago.com">Expo Chicago</a>. We made 3d scans of the Bad at Sports crew, their interviewees and members of the general public. Using Reconstructme and the MS Kinect we made 3d portraits in the booth at the art fair. We also exhibited the artists&#8217; proofs for our first edition &#8211; Dr. N.A.T.O.M by <a href="http://jacobcrose.com/home.html">Jacob Crose</a>. Improbable Objects plan to release this edition in mid October 2012. Improbable Objects is a collaboration between Tom Burtonwood and <a href="http://www.michaelmoceri.com/">Michael Moceri</a>. <p>Industry of the Ordinary (Adam Brooks and Mathew Wilson) are having a mid-career retrospective, Industry of the Ordinary: 2003–2013, <em>Sic Transit Gloria Mundi</em> in the main exhibition hall on the fourth floor of the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington Street, Chicago, Illinois 60602 and throughout the entire building and beyond.</p>
<p>As part of their project they invited over 60 artists to produce a portrait of them and I contributed a 3d printed sculpture to the mix.</p>
<p>The exhibition opens with a reception and related events on Friday the 17th of August from 5:30 – 7:30pm, with a catalog signing by the artists from 5:00 – 6:00pm.</p>
